To our friends in the U.S.,
Yesterday was our last day at VBS. 106 children arrived excited to be there. It was a very rainy morning which limited some activities. Although we had some soccer players that played till they were soaked. It was hard to say goodbye knowing that we won't see them again and the situations that they are returning to.
We were able to connect Tina to a local pastor that will be able to follow up with her and help her make some life decisions to help her out of her difficult situation. She was so blessed to see all of us loving on her kids that it brought her to tears. It was neat to see our men and boys love on these children all week.
In the afternoon we were able to return to the orphanage "St. Marys". The place we did ministry last time we were here. It was really good to see the kids, they remembered us by name and ran to greet us when our bus drove in. We were only there two hours which was difficult. The kids wanted us to come back today. Our original plan was to spend the week with these kids although God had a different plan. We are thankful for the two hours we spent with them.
Our afternoon was spent at a mall eating some needed ice cream/frappacino treats. In the evening we attended a youth rally at a church in a different village.
It is Saturday morning and we are heading for Port of Spain and the beach for a little fun in the sun! Thank you for praying for us so faithfully. We will all be heading home tomorrow early in the am. Please pray for safe travels! Blessings!
